Season Summary
Hawkins was 2nd fastest in 1st practice, 11th fastest in 2nd practice, and 2nd fastest in 3rd practice, being the fastest driver on average during practice. He started on the pole in Heat 2, in which he led all 25 laps and won the race to advance to the main event while teammate Michael Harris finished just outside the top 5 and failed to advance. At the main event, Hawkins started 2nd. The Clash was reletively unchaotic up until lap 140 when Hawkins ran Sam Turner into the wall, bringing out the first caution that was not the competition caution at lap 79. Hawkins ended up finishing in 22nd (last place).
