Turner is the oldest child of Melinda and Jonathan Turner, who are fellow competitors in the NASCAR Cup Series. He has two siblings, Madeline and Max Turner, who are also fellow competitors in the NASCAR Cup Series. His cousins Melinda and Melissa Nelson and their uncle, Lyle Christensen, are also fellow competitors. Turner is an organist and a tennis player.
